TNP + YMCA: Golden Gate National Recreation Area Event

On March 28 we had our second event of 2018. The Nature Project co-founder Cooper Helfet, and his teammates from the Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks, joined TNP and a group of 80 YMCA kids for a day in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, just north of San Francisco, California.

A day in nature spent at the beach and surrounded by miles of open space made for an incredible day. Red tailed hawk passed by overhead and pelicans glided by just offshore. The sun was out, and an epic day unfolded. The smiles didn't lie! In the company of NFL star and TNP advisory board member, Marshawn Lynch of the Oakland Raiders, 80 inner city kids had the opportunity to experience the outdoors and TNP education curriculum alongside a cast of inspiring professional athletes including NFL players Marcus Peters, Jalen Richard, Josh Johnson and Nick Bawden.
